Individuals working in an HRD role, supervisors responsible for training, and persons considering moving into this career field.

What is the cost?

Annual dues are $75. Our full-time student rate is $37.50 annually. Monthly meetings are $15 for members and $20 for guests. Lunch and professional development presentation are included.

When do we meet?

Monthly meetings are generally held the fourth Monday of each month, 11:30 am. - 1:00 p.m. Reservations are highly recommended, but not required.

Where are meetings held?

Unless otherwise noted, all meetings will be held in the Electra Room of the Vulcan Center Museum at Vulcan Park, located at 1701 Valley View Drive, Birmingham, AL 35209. Free parking is available in the main parking lot. Click here for a map.

Founded in 1954, The Greater Birmingham Chapter of ASTD (American Society for Training and Development) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with approximately 150 members. The Greater Birmingham Chapter of ASTD is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors drawn from the general membership. The Greater Birmingham Chapter of ASTD is dedicated to enhancing workplace learning and performance for its members and their affiliated organizations.
